What cookies are
Cookies are small files stored on your device. Similar technologies include local storage, session storage, pixels, tags, and SDKs. They help WittyTalk remember information, keep sessions secure, and understand how the service is used.
Essential cookies and storage
WittyTalk uses essential cookies and storage for login, authentication, security, locale preferences, payment flow continuity, abuse prevention, and basic app functionality. These are needed for the service to work and cannot be turned off inside WittyTalk.
Examples include authentication cookies, redirect/session continuity values, language or onboarding preferences, and security/rate-limit signals.
Preference cookies
WittyTalk may use cookies or local storage to remember settings such as language, interface preferences, dismissed notices, audio setup choices, and privacy choices.
Analytics and performance
WittyTalk only loads optional analytics after you allow analytics in the privacy choices banner. Analytics may include Google Analytics, Vercel Analytics, and Mixpanel. These tools help Syncpoly OÜ understand page usage, feature performance, errors, and product quality.
If you reject optional cookies, analytics tags should not load from WittyTalk. You can also control cookies through your browser settings.
AI and voice features
AI and voice practice features may use your browser microphone, audio APIs, speech recognition, local storage, and server-side AI or voice services when you choose to start those features. These are part of the feature experience, not general advertising cookies.
Payment and third-party cookies
Payment providers such as Stripe may use cookies or similar technologies when you open checkout, manage payment methods, or use billing-related features. OAuth providers, AI providers, analytics providers, and hosting providers may also process technical data when their related features are used. When you make a cookie or privacy choice, WittyTalk stores the choice in your browser and may save a consent receipt on our API. The receipt can include the policy versions, timestamp, choice, account id if logged in, hashed IP address, hashed user agent, country code if available, and limited technical metadata.
Managing cookies
You can accept all optional cookies, reject optional cookies, or manage analytics from the privacy choices banner. To withdraw analytics consent later, clear WittyTalk site data in your browser or email support@wittytalk.ai and ask us to reset your stored consent receipt.
Blocking some cookies may cause login, billing, preferences, audio practice, or lesson features to stop working correctly.
Changes
Syncpoly OÜ may update this Cookie Policy as WittyTalk changes or as legal requirements evolve.
