This Privacy Policy explains how Syncpoly OÜ handles personal data for WittyTalk.
Who is responsible
Syncpoly OÜ is responsible for WittyTalk and decides how personal data is handled for the service. For privacy requests, email support@wittytalk.ai.
Information we collect
We collect information you provide directly, such as your name, email address, account credentials, profile choices, support messages, billing-related contact details, and the answers, text, pitch content, or voice practice content you choose to submit.
We collect information created through your use of WittyTalk, such as interests, lesson progress, roadmap progress, achievements, streaks, energy status, pitch attempts, offers, scores, feedback, entitlement status, billing status, device and browser information, approximate location signals such as country code, timezone, IP-derived security signals, logs, and security events.
When you use voice or AI practice features, WittyTalk may process audio, transcripts, speech-derived text, prompts, scenario details, and AI feedback so the feature can work. We may keep the resulting scores, feedback, and transcripts where needed to show progress, improve your learning history, secure the service, or troubleshoot issues.
Cookies, analytics, and consent records
We use essential cookies and local storage for login, authentication, security, locale preferences, payment flow continuity, and app functionality.
If you allow analytics, we may use tools such as Google Analytics, Vercel Analytics, and Mixpanel to understand page usage, feature performance, errors, and product quality. Analytics is optional and should not run until you make that choice.
We store a consent receipt when you make privacy or cookie choices. The receipt may include your choices, policy versions, timestamp, user account id if logged in, a hashed IP address, hashed user agent, country code if available, and limited technical metadata. We use hashed IP/user-agent values to reduce the amount of directly identifying data stored while still helping us prove and secure the consent record.
How we use information
We use personal data to provide WittyTalk, create and secure accounts, personalize lessons, run voice and AI practice, generate feedback, track progress, grant entitlements, process payments, send service messages, respond to support requests, prevent fraud and abuse, debug issues, comply with law, and improve the product.
We do not use practice content to make legal, financial, employment, or investment decisions about you. Offers, scores, and feedback are game-style learning feedback only.
Legal bases
Where required by law, we rely on legal bases such as performance of a contract, consent, legitimate interests, compliance with legal obligations, and protection of users or the service. For optional analytics cookies, we rely on consent where required. You can withdraw consent by changing your cookie choices, clearing your browser storage, or contacting support@wittytalk.ai.
Sharing information
We share information with service providers that help operate WittyTalk, such as hosting, database, analytics, AI processing, voice processing, email delivery, authentication, logging, customer support, and payment providers. These may include providers such as Vercel, Render, Google, OpenAI, ElevenLabs, Stripe, OAuth providers, and email infrastructure providers, depending on which features you use and how the service is configured.
We may also share information if required by law, to protect rights and safety, to prevent fraud or abuse, or as part of a business transfer involving WittyTalk or Syncpoly OÜ.
California privacy rights
California residents may have rights to know, access, correct, delete, and opt out of certain uses of personal information. WittyTalk does not sell personal information for money. If a future use is considered a "sale" or "sharing" under California law, we will provide the required notice and opt-out mechanism.

EU, UK, and other privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, export, restrict, or object to certain processing of your personal data. You may also have the right to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent and to complain to your local data protection authority.

International processing
WittyTalk may be operated using providers in different countries. When personal data is transferred internationally, Syncpoly OÜ uses appropriate safeguards where required by law.
Retention
We keep personal data for as long as needed to provide WittyTalk, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, maintain security, and keep accurate business records. Practice records, account records, billing records, and security logs may have different retention periods. We delete or de-identify data when it is no longer needed for these purposes.
Security
We use technical and organizational measures intended to protect personal data, including server-side API keys, restricted origin checks for sensitive frontend API routes, rate limiting, hashed consent identifiers, and access controls. No online service is completely secure, so you should also protect your account credentials and devices.
Children
WittyTalk is not intended for children who are not old enough to use online services under the laws that apply to them. If you believe a child provided personal data improperly, contact support@wittytalk.ai.
Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy as WittyTalk changes or legal requirements evolve. If changes are material, we will take reasonable steps to notify users.
